Main Christmas Fayre – Saturday 2nd December 2017

The main Young Enterprise Christmas Fayre of 2017 will be held on Saturday 2nd December 2017.

The venue is the Belmont Street market, which is the on-street market held in Belmont Street Aberdeen.

Arrangements are as follows:

  • To book a stall, your team has to be registered with Young Enterprise (this makes sure you are covered by the Young Enterprise insurance)
  • Booking is via the link at the top of this page.
  • The cost of each stall is £10, payable in cash on the day.  A receipt will be issued.
  • We will provide one market stall (see picture below).  All the Young Enterprise stalls will be together
  • You can set up from 08:00, and trading starts at 09:00 and runs to 18:00hrs. 
  • Teams gain access to the market by drop off at the Schoolhill end of Belmont Street, opposite the Aberdeen Art Gallery. This is for drop off only - there is no parking available On Belmont Street.
  • Mystery shoppers will be looking for great products, great stalls, great sales and marketing customer engagement – and awarding 10 spot prizes of £25  each – plus judges will be assessing the teams and awarding £25 prizes for Best Product, Best Stall, Best Sales and Marketing, and scoring an overall winner (£100 prize) and runner up (£50 prize). For all prizes teams will receive a prize sheet with instructions to contact the Young Enterprise Treasurer  to get the money transferred to the teams bank account.

Extra Christmas Fayre – Saturday 18th / Sunday 19th November 2017

The extra Young Enterprise Christmas Fayre of 2017 will be held on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November.

The venue is a marquee in the quadrangle at Marischal College, Broad Street, Aberdeen. AB10 1AB.  The Aberdeen Winter Festival – including the Christmas Market stalls, Codonas Funfair and the Ice Rink - will be in progress in front of Marischal College on Broad Street, so footfall should be good.

Arrangements are as follows:

  • To book a stall your team has to be registered with Young Enterprise (this makes sure you are covered by the Young Enterprise insurance)
  • Booking is via the link at the top of this page.
  • The cost of each stall is £10, payable in cash on the day.  A receipt will be issued.
  • We will provide a table 1.8 meters wide, plus a backboard.  The marquee has lighting and power will be available.
  • You can set up from 08:30, and trading starts at 10:00 and runs to 18:00hrs. 
  • Teams gain access to the quadrangle at the rear of the building – access is via a private delivery entrance next to the new silver coloured 3 storey car park off Shoe Lane – which is part of Queen Street (directly opposite the Grampian Police Headquarters) – Google maps link here. This is for drop off only - there is no parking available at the rear of Marischal College.

Access is up a long flight of granite steps (about 30 steps) – so please make sure everything you bring is in boxes that can easily be lifted and carried up the stairs.

  • The marquee will house about 30 stalls – some will be Young Enterprise, and some will be businesses supported by The Princes Trust.
